We got some great news from Government Security News (GSN) this week when they recognized the Intelligent Notification platform as the “Best Mass Notification System” in their annual Homeland Security Awards. We’re delighted to be recognized by GSN in this way as they’ve been around since 2003 and have earned a highly respected audience of federal, state and local officials, integrators, contractors and suppliers who are all involved in homeland security in one way or another.
As you may remember, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was created after the devastating terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Before it was created, its current activities were spread across more than 40 federal agencies. When 9/11 took place, it reminded us all that the nation stands the best chance of surviving cataclysmic events when government agencies work closely with the private sector, as MIR3 does with agencies like the USDA, the USDOD, USAID, the US Army, the US Air Force, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development among others.
GSN recognizes this mutually beneficial relationship with its annual Homeland Security Awards. For detail on what GSN looks for in granting the award, read the press release.
