The Code-ED solution provides K-12 administrators high-speed capabilities to send both routine and emergency notifications to staff and parents, as well as automated severe weather warnings by telephone, text message and email immediately after an alert is issued by The National Weather Service – a feature unique to the Code-ED system. The easy-to-use system runs on the same robust infrastructure as the industry-leading CodeRED solution, which is used by local, state and federal agencies across the country and Canada. The CodeRED system was used to make more than 100 million telephone calls in 2012.

The Code-ED service offers a cost-effective communications solution for districts who face ever-increasing budgetary restrictions by allowing schools to provide a high-quality notification service that will enhance the way administrators communicate within their school community. The Code-ED service will streamline parent and staff notifications by allowing administrators to preschedule routine messages using the Web-based technology, allowing school faculty to focus on more pressing matters. Because the solution is Web-based, no additional school funds are needed to purchase or lease telephone lines, software or equipment.
