Datacenter Expansion and New Executive Appointment Strengthens International Position for MIR3
MIR3 strategy to expand UK datacenter grows business while providing cost savings to customers
SAN DIEGO (November 4, 2010) – MIR3, the innovator of real-time Intelligent Notification™ and response technology, today announced the expansion of its London, UK office and datacenter, providing lower-cost telephony capabilities and increasing staff to better serve the growing European market.
With the new UK datacenter expansion, MIR3 customers will be able to purchase telephony ports in both US and UK datacenters, allowing telephone calls and text messages to originate from the UK. Calls made from the UK datacenter to the UK, Canada and many locations in Europe and Asia will be significantly lower than the same calls originating from the US. For customers that have ports in both the US and the UK, the MIR3 platform will route calls to the least expensive ports, ensuring that customers always pay the lowest telephony costs available.
MIR3 is also increasing its focus on the international market by appointing René Grossrieder to the new role of VP, worldwide channels and alliances. Mr. Grossrieder, formerly VP of channels and alliances at MIR3, is now responsible for all domestic and international channel sales including OEM partners, resellers and technology alliances, referral partners.
“Mr. Grossrieder has demonstrated great success in growing the MIR3 channel partner program in North America,” says Larry Kettler, executive VP of sales and marketing for MIR3. “We’re confident he can implement that same model to expand Intelligent Notification awareness throughout Europe.”
“This is part of our overall strategy—to grow our presence in the European marketplace, especially in the UK,” says Grossrieder. “We already have an office in central London and plan to increase both sales and engineering staff in that location, and plan to hire in France as well.”
