ECN names Don Hall as Director of Government Relations
Hall will act as a conduit for government-based knowledge to the company as well as an experienced and trusted point of contact for clients to interact with regarding the need and use of mass notification systems for state and local governments.
Hall’s public safety career experience includes 20 years as an Emergency Manager in Calvert County, Md., Jacksonville, FL and Washington, D.C. He also spent 10 years in law enforcement and 911 emergency communications and has 42 years of active duty experience in the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service in Maryland.
He has managed and directed more than 30 Presidential Disaster Declarations during his emergency management career and received numerous public safety-related awards and citations.
Hall’s undergraduate studies included Safety Engineering from Kennedy Western University and Fire Science Technology from the University of Maryland. In addition to completing the Professional Development Series and Advanced Professional Series through the Emergency Management Institute (EMI), Hall successfully attained the status of “Certified Emergency Manager” (CEM) by the International Association of Emergency Mangers and “Florida Professional Emergency Manager” from the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association (FEPA). He maintains an active role in FEPA, the International Association of Emergency Managers, American Society of Professional Emergency Planners and the Maryland State Fireman’s Association.
