TelAlert Advanced from MIR3 Launches with New SaaS Components and Enhanced Functionality

Advanced version includes the TelAlert Gateway, a SaaS component that seamlessly delivers messages via Intelligent Notification servers to TTS, SMS and PIN-2-PIN recipients.

SAN DIEGO (February 18, 2013) – Recognizing the growing importance of IT infrastructure in business, MIR3, Inc., the innovator of real-time Intelligent Notification (IN™) and response technology, today announced it has launched a new version of the company’s notification solution for IT event alerting, TelAlert® Advanced. Based on the well-respected automated alerting product, TelAlert, TelAlert Advanced has an intuitive Web-browser GUI and its own application database that allows it to continue to send alerts even if it loses Web connectivity.

TelAlert has been a favorite of IT professionals seeking the most reliable solution for automated IT event alerting for twenty years. TelAlert works with any system; custom integration is possible with virtually any application using the command line interface or the C or Java APIs. New TelAlert Advanced has everything that the TelAlert core product has, but makes it easier to manage groups, schedules and reports using a modular, distributed architecture and an intuitive Web-browser GUI. The optional RBA Integrator uses run book automation to provide data processing and workflow logic to fine-tune interactions between applications and TelAlert. TelAlert Advanced has its own application database that is synchronized to the TelAlert memory resident database. If the Web application loses connectivity, TelAlert will continue to send alerts.

TelAlert Gateway, a SaaS component, increases TTS delivery throughput, improves the user experience for TTS recipients and fully supports Intelligent Notification call-bridge functionality. The TelAlert Gateway can be added to either TelAlert or TelAlert Advanced, making either a hybrid version.

“IT functionality is critical for businesses, and every hour of downtime has a direct correlation with lost revenue,” says Frank Madhavi, chief strategy officer for MIR3. “TelAlert is a proven solution for managing critical IT incidents, minimizing costly downtime by automatically alerting relevant staff when IT systems lag or fail.”

TelAlert, which is used by more than 4,000 organizations around the world, including many of the Fortune 500, allows customers to send automated alerts without the need for human intervention or the risk of human error. If an issue is detected, the two-way notification platform will notify IT staff based on configurable schedules and escalation rules to ensure that problems are acknowledged and resolved as quickly as possible. TelAlert will automatically send alerts to a variety of communication devices including email, mobile phones, Short Message Service (SMS), pagers, landlines and more.
