[VIDEO] In an effort to increase resident security and awareness during emergency events, the City of Eastland began introducing monthly siren tests which will give an example of different sounds and what each type means. To help with this effort, the City used its CodeRED system to alert residents of the tests and explain what the warning sounds mean. “We do rely on CodeRED, any time we set off the outdoor warning system we will set off CodeRED as well, so that way you hear the sound but you also know why it’s going on,” said Captain David Branch of the Eastland Fire Department.
