What are faith communities doing in response to the frightening trend of violence committed in houses of worship?
That’s what we wanted to find out. In our first annual Faith Community Safety & Security survey, we asked nearly one thousand faith communities across the country to tell us what safety and security matters are most important to them, as well as what measures they have in place to keep congregants safe before, during and after an incident.

Are houses of worship doing all they can to ensure the safety and security of their congregants, staff and facilities? Yes and no. Interest is increasing and some communities are increasing their focus on safety and security in innovative ways.
